Partaap’s mum shares where things are at. The research team has been assembled, and the family will share the team members’ names on Instagram and social media. The next step is for Partaap’s cells to be sent from the biobank in London to the team in California. Before that can happen, the legal agreements and contracts have to be completed under the UK’s strict rules on human tissue, which also protect Partaap and any therapy that comes from the research. The family are in a waiting phase and hope to have the go-ahead by the end of October, with the work hopefully starting next year. Partaap pops in to say hello and share a milestone of his own: his tooth has come out. 2 minutes 20 seconds.
Jeff Milton of BajaBio explains the proposed discovery and development process for a therapy targeting Partaap’s SPTLC2 mutation—from long-read sequencing and compound design to testing and the planned safety studies. 6 minutes 16 seconds. The programme and timeline described are proposed and may change as the work progresses.
Every donation, every share and every ardaas has carried us further than we ever imagined. We could never have reached this milestone on our own. Your kindness has filled our home with hope, and our hearts with gratitude we will carry forever.\n\nPartaap Singh and family
Partaap’s mum shares a heartfelt thank you after more than £800,000 was raised in just 12 days. She also speaks about a busy day in London raising awareness through interviews, including BBC London, with more links and photos to follow.
Thank you so much for the love and support you have shown Partaap. The donations and shares are helping our family keep going — and Partaap wanted to say hi.
Sharing costs nothing. But it could mean everything.
The more people who know about Partaap, the closer he gets to his chance. Please share his story — on your feed, in a message, wherever people will see it.
If you only do one thing: send this to three people who have never heard of Partaap. Most people who give to a child's appeal give because someone they know asked them to.
